North American Competitiveness and Innovation Conference Going on Now in San Diego

The U.S. Dept. of Commerce and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce is co-hosting the third annual North American Competitiveness and Innovation Conference October 27-30, 2013 in San Diego at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines.

The conference program will explore a vision for North American competitiveness and connectivity in areas including aerospace and automotive, energy and green technologies, workforce development, travel and tourism, border facilitation, and public-private partnerships. A mayoral and gubernatorial panel is set for October 29.

National Council for Public-Private Partnerships Florida Workshop on New Financing Options

The National Council for Public-Private Partnerships is holding a workshop in Orlando, November 6, covering a new statute on Florida public-private partnerships for municipal infrastructure projects.


Speakers will discuss: what the statute allows, what size projects can be done under the new law, step-by-step guidelines including actions needed before issuing an RFP, how to handle unsolicited proposals, case studies in other areas, and more.
